Getting Started

Application Process

The NAMIC Mutual Insurance Foundation Scholarship Program is intended for undergraduate students pursuing a degree that is relevant to the property/casualty insurance industry. We are looking for dedicated individuals in need of additional funds to complete their studies. Individual scholarships of up to $5,000 will be awarded to qualified students, with the monies forwarded directly to the schools at which the students attend in the fall of 2024.

Students must comply with all phases of the application process.

  • Must be working toward a career in the property/casualty insurance or fire science industry.

  • Completion of a 500-word essay describing what the scholarship means to the applicant and why he/she is interested in a career in the property/casualty insurance or fire science industry. We encourage prior recipients to acknowledge receipt of the scholarship in their essay.

  • Digital submission of the application form and uploading all required documents, such as transcripts and letters of recommendation, must be completed no later than 11:59 p.m. EDT on January 31, 2024. Incomplete or late applications will not be considered.

Applications will be reviewed, and award recipients will be notified by mail by June 2024.
