Applicant Eligibility

Only students who are citizens of the United States and plan to find permanent employment in North America will be eligible for the NAMIC Mutual Foundation Insurance Scholarship.

Getting Started

Application Process

The NAMIC Mutual Insurance Foundation Scholarship Program is intended for undergraduate students pursuing a degree that is relevant to the insurance industry. We are looking for dedicated individuals in need of additional funds to complete their studies. Individual scholarships of up to $5,000 will be awarded to qualified students, with monies forwarded directly to the school at which the student attends in the fall of 2020.

Students must comply with all phases of the application process.

  • Completion of a 500-word essay describing what the scholarship means to the applicant and why they are interested in a career in the insurance industry. We encourage prior recipients to acknowledge receipt of the scholarship in their essay.

  • Digital submission of the application form and uploading all required documents, such as transcripts and letters of recommendation, must be completed no later than March 31, 2020. Incomplete or late applications will not be considered.

Applications will be reviewed and award recipients will be notified by mail by May 1, 2020. Announcement of Scholarship recipients will be made at the NAMIC Annual Convention, held in Boston in September 2020.
