What Recent Recipients Say About the Program
I am extremely honored to be named a recipient of the NAMIC Mutual Insurance Foundation Scholarship. The scholarship has helped me to excel and prepare for a career as an actuary. As a result, I was able to register and acquire study materials for an upcoming actuarial exam, which will be essential to my progression in the field. Additionally, it has allowed me to devote more time to mentoring the large actuarial community at the University of Connecticut, which I hope will positively impact the future of the profession.
As a current junior at Saint Joseph's University, the NAMIC Mutual Insurance Foundation Scholarship has really helped me progress in my studies in the actuarial science, risk management and insurance major. While I continue to concentrate in actuarial science, this scholarship helps me to continually fund the actuarial exams as well as the study materials required for them. It allows me to succeed in every way I can while at SJU. This scholarship helps me progress my education as I will be graduating in May of 2021.
This scholarship has supported my education in insurance as well as my professional development, giving me the opportunity to differentiate myself as a professional candidate. It is a true testament to the overwhelming support of the insurance industry in the young professionals entering the industry.
The scholarship helped me through my senior year so I did not have to worry about financials and could focus more on doing activities such as being involved with Gamma Iota Sigma.
